Student and alumni-led workshops designed to expand current students’ skill sets and empower the instructors.
Don’t be like Winston over there! –>
Car Barn Academy is a series of workshops led by CCTers for CCTers in helping them develop marketable skills and knowledge. Students generate ideas for workshops and the CCT front desk will schedule them so that there are no conflicts with other events.
There is no limit to what these workshops can be based on, so every CCTer has something to share! Get creative and share your talents with CCT!
The aim of these workshops are threefold:
- Provide you with a showcase-able skill and/or deliverable that you can add to your portfolio, resume, or Linkedin Profile (just think of all the endorsements you might receive)
- Empower you! We all have talents and skills worth sharing with our peers.
- Provide a safe, collaborative, and interactive atmosphere in which to freely exchange ideas and learn as a group.
Examples of former workshops and possible themes are Crafting a CCT Cover Letter, Facebook Advertising Strategy Hacks, Crash Course in Premiere Pro, Basic HTML, and many more!
If you’re interested in hosting a workshop and have an idea in mind, submit a proposal by filling out this google form. The front desk will then follow up with you to coordinate logistics.
If you have any questions about the CBA workshops, please contact us at cctprogram@georgetown.edu!
